What is the best online forklift certification for employers?
Updated August 2026 — reviewed against current OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 requirements
Accepted by employers in all 50 states · 3-year certificate validity
A five-point checklist for choosing a provider
- Does the curriculum map to every truck-related and workplace-related topic in 1910.178(l)(3)?
- Is an employer evaluation form included, or are you left to write your own?
- Can you export a roster showing operator, equipment class, date, and evaluator?
- Are retakes free, or does a failed exam cost another seat?
- Does the provider avoid the false claim of being "OSHA-approved"?
What separates a defensible program from a cheap one
Low-cost certificate mills issue a PDF within five minutes and no evaluation form. That certificate alone does not make an operator compliant, and an inspector will spot the gap immediately.
Cost at team scale
Because the rate falls with quantity, a 10-person crew is $420 ($42 a seat) and a 50-person site is $1,750 ($35 a seat) — with bulk quotes and invoiced billing available on request.
Frequently asked questions
- Which forklift classes are covered?
- OSHA Classes 1 through 6, covering electric rider trucks, electric narrow-aisle trucks, electric hand trucks, internal combustion trucks with cushion or pneumatic tires, and electric or IC tractors.
- Do you offer invoicing for teams?
- Yes — request a quote for bulk seats and consolidated invoicing.
- Can I get a refund?
- A full refund is available within 20 days of purchase, and only until your wallet card is printed. Both conditions apply — after 20 days, or once the card has been printed, the order is final. Exam retakes are always free and unlimited, and are separate from the refund policy.
